What To Do When Camping in the Rain

Life is unpredictable. And while you may try to perfectly plan your camping trip to be during optimal weather, rain can come out of nowhere. But it doesn’t have to ruin your trip! Check out these things you can do if it rains during your camping trip.

Play Games

Playing board games, card games, or games that don’t require any of that can be a ton of fun while camping! Crack out the snacks and sit under a canopy or go get cozy in the tent or RV to play. 

Read a Book or Watch a Movie

If the rain is too much for your to be out and about in the outdoors, there’s nothing wrong with getting warm and cozy and reading a book or watching a movie together. You can still enjoy the beauty of nature and bask in the outdoors while you do so. And if it’s evening, you’re watching a movie under the stars!

Go Fishing

If you don’t mind the rain or have a cover on your boat you might as well go fishing! The fish are biting rain or shine so it’s still a great time to go. Plus, there will be a lot less people out fishing than on a sunny day so the odds will ever be in your favor!

Go Kayaking or Canoeing

Another one for those that don’t mind the rain so much. Get out on the water! Being out in the rain, feeling the rain drops kiss your skin, and hearing the soothing sound of the rain touching down is something that can feel so magical. Why not take a nice relaxing paddle out on the water and just enjoy mother nature?

Cook Up Some Comfort Food
