Camping Breakfast Hacks
There’s nothing quite like enjoying a hot homemade breakfast in the brisk mountain air or wherever you are. Breakfast is even better when you’re camping than it is when it’s just another day at home. But like many things, preparing breakfast while camping can be a lot more difficult and time consuming than it is in the comfort of a house. Check out these helpful breakfast hacks for camping.
Pre-scramble
Eggs are an essential part to any breakfast but they are not the most convenient food to make, especially when camping. Eggs can be messy while cooking and having to crack them doesn’t help the cause. On top of that, packing your eggs in your cooler is another story. You have to make sure that there is a spot for the carton at the top of the cooler so that they don’t get crushed. To make your packing and cooking way easier you should pre-scramble your eggs before your trip. Put the pre-scrambled eggs in a bottle, container, or even a bag for a hassle free breakfast that’s easy to pack and cook.
Pre-mixed Pancakes
Similar to having pre-scrambled eggs, you can do the same with pancake mix. If you’re someone who wants to take camp breakfast up a notch and have pancakes, you’re in luck. Yes, there is a way to have hassle free pancakes at camp! Simply pre-mix your pancake batter before your trip and put it in a bottle, container, or bag. Pancakes have never been easier!
Campfire Cinnamon Rolls
Who says cinnamon rolls have to come from an oven? When you’re camping, anything is possible. Even warm gooey cinnamon rolls. And no, these are not pre-baked at home! The easiest way to have cinnamon rolls while camping is to buy the cinnamon rolls in a can and bring some tin foil. All you need to do is roar up the campfire, pop open the can of rolls, wrap them up in a bundle of foil, and place on the campfire. Not only are these easy to make but they don’t require any dishes or utensils to prepare and are easy to pack.
Premade Parfaits
Another easy breakfast to take camping is premade parfaits. All you need to do is layer them in jars/cups with lids before taking off for your trip. Layer yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola for a tasty yet healthy breakfast. What’s awesome is that you can literally put anything you want in them! Different flavors of yogurt, any kind of fruit your heart desires, or maybe even some chocolate chips. And the best part is that it requires no cooking! Talk about easy.
