Things to Do With Your RV/Trailer During This Pandemic
The world is a crazy place right now and with RV parks closing down, there aren’t many places for RVers to go. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use some of your free time with your RV during this time. Here are some things to consider if you’re not sure what to do with your RV.
Clean It
How often do you clean your RV? Probably not as much as you should. And when you do, it’s probably not thorough because you just got back from a trip and are tired, or have to go to work the next day, or you just don’t feel like doing it. Well now is the perfect time to get out those gloves and sponges and get to cleaning! Just think, the more thorough you clean it now while you have time and energy, the longer you’ll be able to go before cleaning it again. Plus, keeping your trailer clean is better for the overall health of it. Take the time to do smaller things like wiping down the inside of the fridge, steering wheel, chairs, etc.
Perform Maintenance
We’ve talked about it before but we can’t leave maintenance out of this article. Now is the perfect time for performing maintenance on your RV or trailer since it is not in use. Do check ups on everything you can think of: check your windshield wiper fluid, check your brakes, tire pressure, change your oil, rotate your tires, check your brake lights and headlights, etc. And don’t forget to get your TrailerLegs system to make it all easier and less time consuming!
Go Backyard Camping
This is a fun one! Who says you need to get away from home to go camping? You can set everything just like you would on a normal camping trip and spend the night under the stars in your backyard. The best part is that you can just walk inside your house to use the bathroom or use running water! You can also choose to cook your meals over a campfire to make the experience more authentic. It will be a fun time for families of all kinds
Get New/Replace Old Accessories
Now is a great time to think of the future so you can start your next trip off fresh. Take a look at your old accessories and consider replacing them with new ones, that way you’ll be ready for your next trip and won’t be surprised by the need to replace something right before or during your trip. Also take the time to notice any accessories that you may need that you don’t already have. You can never be too prepared.
