5 Fun Camping Games for the Whole Family
Sometimes you need to find some fun activities to pass the time while you’re enjoying the natural scenery out camping. Here’s a list of games that take little to no prep and can be a blast for the whole family, including the kids!
Charades
Each person takes turns acting something out and everyone else has to try and guess what they are acting out. To make things more interesting, you can even make teams or pick a theme for all your words. You could even stick with a camping theme
Scavenger Hunt
You can prepare a list of things you would normally find out in the wilderness and see who can find all the items the fastest. You could make it even more of a challenge by making them find all the items in one specific area. This would be a good way to pass a few hours or keep the kids occupied while you’re busy and can be a lot of fun for everyone.
Storytelling
Everyone likes a good story, especially cozied up around the campfire. Each person can go around the campfire telling stories, scary stories, funny stories, true stories, as long as you can build a good story, everyone is sure to be entertained.
Would You Rather
Would you rather is a classic game to play around a campfire. Ranging from silly questions like would you rather have an extra finger or an extra toe, to gross questions like would you rather eat a dead spider or a live worm, you can base your questions around who it is you’re playing with.
Tag
Tag is a good game to play if you have a large open area on your campground. It gives your kids the chance to get all the energy out that they may have built up being stuck in an RV or trailer all day. Being stuck in a vehicle all day would make anyone want to stretch their legs and run around.
